About Us
Interior design is both a puzzle and a treasure hunt mixed into one glorious process. ~ Nicole Kuckly
Owner and principal designer at NAK Interiors in Santa Fe, Nicole Abby Kuckly is a graduate of Parsons School of Design and The Sotheby’s Decorative Arts Program in London. Her career started in New York where she grew up, and transitioned to New Mexico in 2018.
Her career in design started as a young girl accompanying her father, Martin Kuckly, a New York-based interior designer, to all his weekend client meetings. She would “tag along” so she could spend time with her dad. In her early 20s she started working for him and soon became his partner at Kuckly Associates.
The father-daughter Kuckly design team enjoyed a wildly successful and fun 20+ years completing residential and country club projects together around the country (New York, Greenwich, Westport, Boston, Nantucket, Cape Cod, Palm Beach, Los Angeles) as well as two renowned boutique hotels on Nantucket – The Wauwinet and The White Elephant.
Although Nicole received a career-boosting education at the distinguished Parsons school, it was her father who really perfected her craft. He taught her how to feel space, to understand the flow of a house, to analyze the personality of the architecture and, most importantly, to deeply understand and intuit the habits and desires of the client.
It is with this foundation that Nicole continues to grow and evolve as a designer. Every new project pushes her to think and design differently than the last. This is what Nicole loves most about her career.
Originally from New York City, Engracia Katsoufis has enjoyed an exciting and illustrious 30+ year career in visual arts, primarily in advertising and film and television production. She moved to New Mexico in 2016 and purchased a consignment shop that specialized in vintage/antique furnishings and decor to embrace her love of interior design. She transitioned her focus to interior design in 2019 with NAK Interiors and is working towards earning her design certification from the New York Institute of Art & Design.
At NAK Interiors, it is our mission to marry the personality of the house with the personality of the owner. ~ Nicole Kuckly
A well-designed home is not just beautiful – it is a refuge. Good interior design allows homeowners to close the front door and exhale. It creates a space of function and flow where the energy of the world can comfortably be left outside. It is my passion to make sure that your home feels like a sanctuary and a reflection of you.
Interior design is both a puzzle and a treasure hunt mixed into one glorious process. At NAK Interiors each new project is a puzzle of pieces that manifest the final vision. The puzzle begins with me getting to know your lifestyle, your vision, your needs, your budget and your team. Through this detailed exploration, the project and vision begin to take form.
Inch by inch and day by day, our creative process and project management turn that vision into reality. We’ll work together to discover what styles, colors, patterns and textures energize and excite you most. As our team researches and identifies the perfect pieces at the right price point, the treasure hunt begins.
At NAK Interiors, it is our mission to marry the personality of the house with the personality of the owner. We are devoted to finding what feels right for you and making your space feel like a curated home.
